Pastor Chris Oyaikhilome's Loveworld Television Network has been fined £125,000 by the Broadcast regulators for harmful preaching on Covid-19 and 5G network even after being warned before.
In one of the Loveworld television programs, pastor Chris allegedly made some inaccurate claims about Covid-19 which was deemed harmful.
The Office of Communication (OFCOM) reported that the issues came during Loveworld's 29-hour Global Day of Prayer which included statements claiming that the pandemic is a “planned” event created by the “deep state” for nefarious purposes, and that the vaccine is a “sinister” means of administering “nanochips” to control and harm people.
The Nigerian pastor was also accused of saying "if you believe God's work, you won't believe in the vaccine."
Ofcom concluded that Pastor Oyaikhilome's sermon was not backed up with evidence and considered his teachings as harmful, serious and reckless.
As a result of the repeated violations by the popular pastor and general overseer of Christ Embassy, also known as LoveWorld Incorporated or Believers' Loveworld, a financial fine of £125,000 was placed on his teachings.
