Marilyn Ojehonmon Nwene of Los Angeles, California
Juy 1, 2018
My name is Marilyn Ojehonmon Nwene. The CEO of Mon's Media. I am from Eme-Ora, Edo State, Nigeria. I live in California with my family. The youngest among my siblings. I currently work as a Care Coordinator in the health care sector and I hope to do something greater in the industry.
In as much as I can't stand toxic people - I cut them off as soon as they become a distraction to my focus - I love people. I love to enjoy life, live the moment and just live life to the fullest.
I am an influencer and a former model. I have three instagram accounts: Mons Pick (my personal blog), Mon's Media (My blog's account) and Enthralling Styles By Mon (My fashion feed). Check them out for more update. I also have a Face Book page for my blog www.facebook.com/monsmedia and my personal account Marilyn Ojespadi Nwene. On Twitter: www.twitter.com/monspick
Blogging is a hobby for me because it's a powerful tool to communicate with the world even though you are sitting in restroom and posting information once a week. You would be amazed at the number of people who read your post.
I want the world to be a better place. Where people operate based on love. A society where our kids can be safe at school and we don't have to worry while they are at school. A world where people can enjoy the movie theater, go to concerts, shop at the mall, worship God in church without a "psycho" opening fire on them. A world where there is no racism and everyone is treated well.
I love to stay happy and keep people happy. Life is not always fair but I encourage myself and other to look at the bright side of every difficulty. There could be a 'blessing' on the way after the storm.
I hope to use my blog to impact lives around the world and keep people smiling.

Rihanna of Bridgetown in Barbados
February 01, 2018
February is almost over and it's one of our favorite artists birth month. She is beautiful, fierce, and loved by all. She is a singer, songwriter, record producer, model, actress and even rapper! She is none other than our sexy diva Rihanna!
All the way from Bridgetown in Barbados, she moved with high hopes to America - "New York" to be exact - to pursue her singing career.
She met Evans Roger in Barbados who thought she had amazing vocals. With his help, she made a demo which she presented to Def Jam Records. She went on to audition for the President of the record company at that time Jay-Z and music mogul Antonio "L.A." Reid. Both men knew they had discovered a world star.
L.A. Reid himself said he was so thrilled, he asked the crew not to let her leave the building. It was the big break Rihanna wanted and she got signed to the record company.
Bad Gal Riri's career took off in 2005, with release of her debut studio album "Music of the Sun" and "A Girl like Me" released in 2006, which charted on the top 10 of the US Billboard 200 and respectively produced the successful singles "Pon de Replay", "SOS" and "Unfaithful".
Ever since Rihanna stepped her foot in the spotlight, she has continued to soar higher and one of her best attributes is that she is fearless. She is not scared to wear some many hats and you can't help but love her style and the confidence she exudes.
Riri as she is fondly called is the youngest and fastest solo artist to earn fourteen number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as a current total of 31 top ten singles on the same chart.
She has 9 Grammys under her belt, 12 American Music Awards and 12 Billboard Music Awards to mention a few.
Rihanna has been a blessing to her country and the world at large. To acknowledge her for all her accomplishment, Westbury New Road - the street in Barbados that Rihanna grew up - has officially been renamed Rihanna Drive by the Government of Barbados.
She is an Ambassador of Barbados. In 2016 she teamed up with GPE as its first ever Global Ambassador in September 2016. Through a multi-year partnership, Rihanna's Clara Lionel Foundation, international advocacy group Global Citizen and GPE will campaign together to ensure that girls and boys in the world's poorest countries can get a quality education.
Her role as GPE Global Ambassador, is to encourage world leaders and policymakers to boost their support for global education and education in emergencies through GPE.
In 2017, Harvard named the renowned artist Humanitarian of the Year for her passionate support towards charity.
Rihanna has been a blessing to her country and the world at large. To acknowledge her for all her accomplishment, Westbury New Road - the street in Barbados that Rihanna grew up - has officially been renamed Rihanna Drive by the Government of Barbados.
Everything she lays her hands on flourishes and just when we thought her line fragrance: Nude, Kiss by Riri, Rouge, Rouge Love, Crush by Riri, Riri Crush, Riri by Rihanna, Riri, Reb'l Fleur and Rebelle was the best she could offer, she blew our minds with her makeup line "Fenty."
She said was inspired to create Fenty Beauty after years of experimenting with the best-of-the-best in beauty—and still seeing a void in the industry for products that performed across all skin types and tones. She launched a makeup line “so that women everywhere would be included,” focusing on a wide range of traditionally hard-to-match skin tones, creating formulas that work for all skin types, and pinpointing universal shades.
Fenty sold $72 million in the first month it came on the market.
