The queen is back! Tyra banks, 45, comes out of modeling retirement to grace the cover of the 2019 issue of Sports Illustrated (SI) Swimsuit.
More than 20 years after making history as the first black woman to appear on the cover of the publication, the mother of one is trending all over social media again . The banging photos were taken in Great Exuma, Bahamas by renowned photographer Laretta Houston.
Banks was known in the modeling world for her fierce attitude on stage and in front of the camera. Today, she's even more fiercer than we all imaged. Some people really do age like fine wine.
Tyra's come back is amazing because her body looks realistic and achievable. She is beautiful, her skin still glows and she's all curves. Additionally, she just made history as the oldest model to appear on the cover of SI.
Elated Tyra posted her SI cover - in which she had a yellow Andi Bagus string bikini - on her Twitter account, urging everyone to love their body 'no matter what anybody says!'
