They team received a raucous reception at Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport before their parade through the capital city. The team country also promised to award them the highest accolade - the Legion d'Honneur.
In an open-top bus, the french football team were driven down the packed avenue in Paris, smiling and waving and holding up the cup as the French air force staged a flypast amid plumes of red, white and blue.
