Kimora Hudson Youngest Student To Attend Univ. Of West Georgia

Meet Kimora Hudson, 13, is the youngest student to gain admission to the University of West Georgia (UWG) and she has resumed classes this fall.

Hudson grew up like every normal teenager but her intellect and academic excellence is what sets her apart. She is so super smart, she had to skip not just one or two grades but many. Middle School was no match for her level either. So, her mother decided to register her in the University’s Move On When Ready/Dual Enrollment program, which provides opportunity for 9th to 12th grades students to earn college credit while working on their high school diploma, reports the Atlanta Journal Constitution (AJC). By the time she is through with the program, the Douglasville, Georgia teen genius will be on the level of a college junior in about two years.

Also enrolled in high school, when the teen genius turns 15, she will be a high school grad with college credits. How cool is that?

According to AJC, this Fall, Hudson will attend UWG twice a week taking biology, biology lab and public speaking. To watch over her, her mother Fawn also enrolled in the school for graduate classes in Sociology.

Hudson's parents knew she was a gifted child right from when she was a tiny little baby. She was eager to communicate verbally with people.

“When she was three or four months, her doctors told me she would be a genius, because she started forming words very early,” said Fawn Hudson. “In pre-K, her teachers would tell me they had to bring in second-grade work specifically for Kimora. By the time first grade came around, it was just obvious that she was gifted.”

“I’ve always raised my hand first in class. That just felt normal to me. But when I started getting accepted into really advanced educational programs, I started thinking, ‘OK, I’m really smart,’” she told the AJC.

Though Kimora Hudson has not decided what she would major in, she hopes to work in the Science field as either a marine biologist, veterinarian, surgeon, or psychologist.
