Don Williams, Legendary Country Singer Dead At 78

Texas native Don Williams, who was one of the most celebrated country music stars of the 70s and 80s passed away on Friday, September 8th after a short illness.
Williams a.k.a. 'the Gentle Giant' had a unique voice, gentle delivery and storytelling style. He was inducted in The Hall of Fame in 2010.

The world has lost another music hero. His simple music, gentle voice & beautiful songs will forever be cherished.

He is survived by wife Joy Bucher and two children (Gary Williams and Tim Williams).

Whenever I hear his song, I remember my late father. He was a huge fan. He bought all his albums and could sing every one of his song word-for-word.
