Tonto Dikeh Speaks Out About Her Failed Marriage

Nigerian actress Tonto Dikeh in exclusive interview with media personality, Azuka Ogujiuba tearfully opens about how her rocky marriage and why they could not work things out.

A couple of months ago, the actress did comfirm the rumors that she and her husband Olakunle Churchill were living apart. Now, after being silent for a while, she decided to let the world know what she had to endure to keep her home. The interview with Media Room Hub is a difficult one to watch. The mother of one wanted to share her story about domestic violence with other women out there who are in the same situation that she had to bail out from. Marriage is based on love and trust but Tonto's case took an opposite turn in a way we never expected. From lies to infidelity and physical abuse, she got it really bad. Worst of all, she reported that her husband was having an affair with a fellow actress known as Rosy Meurer. As if the blow was not enough, she also stated that she was contacted by two women who said her husband fathered their kids. She even showed pictures and videos to prove her story.

It was a turbulent marriage and they were better off apart.

"The domestic violence is real. How I lived to suffer it and go through it over and over again, I do not understand. Alot of people have blamed me. A lot of people have said a lot of things. I stayed back in my marriage, not because of my child, but because I loved my husband with all of my heart. I stayed because he begged me to stay a couple of times. I stayed because I just didn't want to give up. I didn't want to give up on the marriage just like that," she said.
