Nick Gordon has been found legally responsible for the untimely passing of Bobbi Kristina - daughter of music legend Whitney Houston. In the civil case, a Georgia judge ruled a default judgement against him after he failed to appear in court a couple of times.
Brown's estate filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Nick Gordon last year, alleging he beat her up after a "cocaine and drinking binge." The estate also claimed that Gordon gave Brown a "toxic cocktail" that caused her to pass out.
An autopsy in March revealed Bobbi's cause of death was due to drug intoxication and immersion in water, according to the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office. They were unable to rule whether her death was "due to intentional or accidental causes."
“We have said all along that we believed Nick Gordon was responsible for the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown. This judgment confirms our belief. Mr. Gordon had every opportunity to appear in Court and attempt to clear his name. He declined,” said a statement to E! News from Brown’s father’s legal team.
Nick Gordon has refused to make any comment on the issue and no criminal charges have been filed against him yet.
