The Playboy mansion, a 1927 manor in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Holmby Hills, has been sold for $100 million to Hugh Hefner's next door neighbor - Twinkies Owner.
Daren Metropoulos, principal at private equity firm Metropoulos & Co., which owns Twinkies-maker Hostess Brands, bought the 20,000-square-foot mansion which was initially listed at $200 million. However, Metropoulos has agreed to allow Hefner, 90, live in it for the rest of his life. Metropoulos' father is C. Dean Metropoulos, the Greece-born billionaire who once owned Pabst Brewing Co.
The Playboy mansion has 29 bedrooms, 4 bedroom guest house, which sits on five acres of land and comes with a swimming pool, tennis court, and a zoo license, according to the listing.
Hugh Hefner has lived in the mansion for four decades.
