Meadow Walker, daughter of late actor Paul Walker has finally settled for $10.1 million from the Estate of the driver (Roger Rodas) of the Porsche that led to the untimely death of the actor.
"The amount paid by the estate of Roger Rodas into a trust for Meadow Walker only covers a fraction of what her father would have earned as an international movie star had his life not been tragically cut short in the November 30, 2013, accident," said Jeff Milam, Meadow Walker's attorney, in a statement.
"Through his estate, Mr. Rodas, the driver of the car, took partial responsibility for the crash, which Paul Walker would have survived."
Meadow, 17, was 15 when paul and Rodas were killed in the Porsche Carrera GT that went out of control on a road in Santa Clarita, California, and "impacted a power pole and several trees," according to an investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. Walker was 40 years old, Rodas 38.
The lawsuit was filed in September of 2015 by Meadow against Porsche, alleging that the German automaker is also at fault for the deaths. Also, through her lawyer, Meadow is suing the company for producing a vehicle that was defective that resulted to Paul Walker's death.
While a federal judge in California turned down Kristine Rodas, Roger Rodas' wife, lawsuit against Porsche, Meadow's lawsuit against the car company -- a $13 billion corporation -- is still going to hold.
