On Tuesday, 28 of 2015, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Okunade Sijuwade passed away. He was aged 85.
According to reports, the King became unconcious and was flown to the UK for treatment. Sadly, he passed away after the brief illness.
The Oba was one of Nigeria's greatest Kings who made powerful impacts in the lives of the people. He was well-liked by all for his kind nature and active participation in humanitarian services. May his soul rest in peace.
