On Sunday evening, a nigerian man by the name Michael Adegbite was stabbed to death in Einfield, North London while trying to sell a laptop.

According to Daily Mail, Adegbite who was a teaching assistant at Heathcote School in Chingford, and coached young footballers at Eastside United FC in Hackney, was attacked by three teenager who tried to rob him when he turned up to deliver the laptop he sold via Gumtree.

Adegbite was with a friend during the encounter and he was able to take back his Macbook laptop for his attackers who took to their heels. However, Adegbite with the help of another friend, decided to track down the youngsters and a row broke out leading to the stabbing to death of the 28-year-old at confrontation.

Adegbite was a part-time fitness instructor and model who also mentored vulnerable children. He also campaigned against knife crime, but sadly he got killed by what he strongly preached against.

His brother told Daily Mail: "He wanted to help young people from troubled backgrounds, show them the right path.

'He talked to them about the dangers of knife crime and in the end he was the victim of it. It's just senseless. He was killed over a laptop. No life is worth that little.'

Adegbite's neighbor, Lucy Yapp said the young man would have survived if passers-by had called 999, but nobody called simply because they".... saw four black men fighting and just walked past.'

'I am devastated. He was a good boy. He even ran a football club for ex-offenders. That's the sad thing about it, he was trying to help the kind of people that stabbed him," she said.

Three 18-year-old suspects have been arrested and the police are asking for more witnesses to come forward.

'Detectives believe the circumstances surrounding the death arose from an attempted robbery which is being fully investigated by the Homicide and Major Crime Command. We are confident that the incident is not gang-related,' said Detective Superintendent Simon Warwick of Metropolitan Police.
