George Zimmerman, the former neighborhood security guard who got acquitted in the death of teenager Trayvon Martin in 2013, has been involved in another shooting incident, Lake Mary Police told local news.
On Monday, May 11, Zimmerman suffered minor injuries to his face after a motorist, shot at the side window of his car while he was driving on Lake Mary Boulevard about 12:45 p.m., police said.
Fortunately for him, he was hit in the face with glass and debris and has since been released from Central Florida Regional Hospital.
The shooter who was identified as Matthew Apperson, is the same person who called police last year because he felt threatened by Zimmerman.
Zimmerman and Apperson have been in an ongoing dispute, police in Lake Mary, Florida, reported.
No arrest have been made and no charges filed yet.
"We have not determined how or why the incident or altercation began," police officer Bianca Gillett said.
Zimmerman has had several run-ins with the law since the shooting death of Trayvon Martin. From a number of traffic violations to a case of alleged assault between him and ex-wife Shelley Zimmerman.
Also in November 2013 and January of this year, he was arrested for aggrevated assault against his girlfriend.
Seems like this guy's cup is full. With all these bad things befalling Zimmerman, do you think it's karma for killing Trevon Martin or he just prone to badluck?
