Young Man Who Was Beaten By Mom For Participating In Baltimore Riot Speaks

Baltimore mom Toya Graham went viral for beating and pulling her son out of street during the Baltimore riot on Monday afternoon. Toya has been named the "mother of the year" for smacking her son back to his senses.

According to Toya, she had suspected her son was going to participate in the riot. That motherly instinct, she was right. She saw her son throwing rocks at the police and the rest in now history.

Toya has gained fame for disciplining her son, teaching him a hard lesson that justice does not equal violence in the wake of the death of Freddie Gray. People are now hailing this smart and no nonsense mom who would to anything to ensure her son is on the right tract and acts right.

For the very first time, Toya and her son were on The View, where her son said "I went because in the past, a lot of my friends been beaten, killed, abandoned, hurt by the police—so I went down there just to fight for what I stand for..."
