The 2015 Oscars was held on Sunday, February 22, at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood, California. The star studded event was quite a delight to see.
Here are the Top 5 Most Interesting Moments at the 87th Academy Awards:
Lady Gaga Performance of Sound of Music:
Newly engaged Lady Gaga wowed everyone with not just her 'normal' appearance as a natural beauty, but also by doing justice to Julie Andrew's Sound of Music songs. Gaga sang so beautifully, I am sure we wouldn't mind seeing her play the lead role in a new Sound of Music movie. Oh! She looked stunning without her crazy signature customs that she looks hideous in.
At the end of Gaga's performance, ageless Julie Andrews walked into the stage to give Gaga a big hug before giving a speech. Who would ever think that the successful movie is in it's 50th Anniversary already? If feels like just yesterday. Even children born today enjoy watching the educational/inspiring movie because it's timeless.
Patricia Arquette speech on women's rights and equality:
Patricia Arquette who took home an Oscar for 'Best Actress' in a supporting role, made one of the best speeches for the night. "We have fought for everybody else's equal rights. It's our time to have wage equality once and for all and women's right for everyone in America," she said. Promoting women in the United States of America was the core of her speech. It was so sweet, you could see Meryl streep cheering her up for words well said.
The "Glory" performance that had everyone in tears:

John Legend and Common won the award for 'Best Original Song' with this song. People of all colors were brought to tears by this performance last night. Chris Pine and David Oyelowo had tears running down their eyes like babies. Oprah Winfery had to give David a hug because he sat right in front of her at the event. I can't remember how many times I had to hit the replay button. The performance was met with a standing ovation of course.
Neil Patrick Harris In Underwear At Oscars 2015 Birdman Spoof!
Lol!!! The host of the 87th Academy Awards, Niel Patrick Harris made everyone go gaga when he appeared in his underwear. The suspence was nerve racking as no one ever thought he would ever go on stage 'half naked.' But he did! First time ever in the history of the Academy Awards! Normally, this would have been considered inappropraite, but it was the one and only comedian Niel Patrick Harris and he did it like he don't just care and we all loved his guts!
Eddie Redmayne dedicates Oscar to ALS sufferers
Eddie Redmayne truly deserved the Oscar for 'Best Actor' with his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory Of Everything. Though he look very excited and scared at the same time, that didn't stop him from thanking everyone that he loved and also dedicating his Oscar to people suffering from ALS - which was the character he acted in the movie.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) also known as Lou Gehrig is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.
