South Africa Wins The Miss World 2014 Beauty Pageant

Miss Rolene Strauss wins the crown of the 2014 Miss World pageant that was held in London last night. With 125 contestants from across the wrold, the top 10 finalistswere: Australia (10), Mexico (9), United States (8), Kenya (7), Hungary (6), Brazil (5), Guyana (4), England (3), South Africa (2) and India (1).
Sadly, Miss India Koyal Rana who was initially leading in the contest did not make it to the top 5 finalists. A selection that was based on these six competition: Top Model, Beach Fashion, Sports and Fitness, Beauty with a Purpose, Talent Competition and the World Fashion Designer Award.
In no particular order, Miss Hungary Edina Kulcsar, Miss Australia Courtney Thorpe, Miss South Africa Rolene Strauss, Miss United States Elizabeth Safrit and Miss England Carina Tyrrell were the contestants who made it to the top 5.
The winner (Rolene Strauss) of 64th edition of the annual Miss World competition which was held in London, United Kingdom, was crowned by Miss World 2013, Megan Young of Philippines.
In a statement Strauss said "We have been working so hard towards this day. Ever since we have been crowned in our national events, everything has been building up towards these last moments and I want nothing more than to do South Africa proud and do my best up on there on the Miss World stage," Miss South Africa Rolene Strauss said in a statement."
