Bill Cosby: The Navy Revokes Honorary Title Amid Sex Assault Allegations

With the recent sexual assault claims against American stand-up comedian, actor, author, television producer, educator, musician and activist, Bill Cosby, he is undeniably facing a lot of issues. He has been described by his accusers as a sexual predator and of course, the effect of bad press has taken it's toll on his reputation.

According to NBC News, the Navy has revoked Bill Cosby's honorary title in light of allegations he sexually assaulted a string of women over decades.

The action was taken out against Bill as a result of the controversial issues surrounding his person, which in turn contradicts the 'core values' of the US Navy.

Cosby who spent four years in the Navy was given the title of honorary Chief Petty Officer in 2011.

"The Navy is taking this action because allegations against Mr. Cosby are very serious and are in conflict with the Navy's core values of honor, courage and commitment," Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus said in a statement.
