Breaking News: The Queen Latifah Show Has Been Cancelled!!!

Just after two seasons, The Queen Latifah Show has received the ax. On friday November 21, Sony Pictures confirmed that the show will not be returning.

NewsOne is reporting that the show’s staff was brought into a meeting on Friday morning and told that the show was over. While there were no specifics, it’s being said that it’s about ratings and cost.

Though very dissapointed, Latifah, 44, commented on the show's cancellation on her Facebook page and thanked her staff and all her fans for their immense support.

According to Hello Beautiful, this was Queen’s second attempt at having her own day time talk show. The first time was in 1999 and the show lasted for two years before getting cancelled. The first installment of the show was referred to as a “Dear Abby for the Hip-Hop generation.” However, in the later version of the show, Queen focused on celebrity interviews, giving back and inspiring heroes. It just wasn’t enough to sustain.
