Prof. Ademola Onifade of Lagos State University Dies

According to News Punch, the entire community of Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos is grieved as they lost one of their professors, Professor Ademola Onifade, a professor in the faculty of Education, department of Physical and Health Education, Lagos State University, Ojo, Lagos.

We gathered that Prof. Onifade who was the Professor of Sports Administration and Management died at the early hours of Tuesday. He was 58 years old.

His close associate, friend and former student, Dr. Anthony Dansu said “Lagos State University and the entire world of sports lost a gem, my teacher, rest in peace.”

Educational Background:

Professor Ademola Onifade, a professor of Sports Administration and Management; with minors in sports Psychology. He had his PhD at an early age of 27 years from Maryland USA. He was the pioneer Head of Physical and health education Department LASU. He was two times the Dean of Faculty of Education Lagos State University. He served the nation and the world in various capacities as an academics and as a sports administrator.

He also trained many renowned academics among them is Dr Tony Dansu of Department of Physical and Health Education, Lagos State University, Ojo Lagos.
