Funeral Service of Fatally Shot Teen, Michael Brown

After weeks of heated protest against the shooting to death of Ferguson, Missouri teenager, Micheal Brown, the family have decided to lay their son to rest. The funeral ceremony was held Monday at Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church in St. Louis.

Hundreds of mourners including politicians, dignitaries and celebrities gathered to support Brown's family and pay their last respect to the young man whose life was cut short on August 9th by Ferguson police officer, Darren Wilson.

In Rev. Al Sharpton's eulogies during the service Monday, he preached for peace saying, "You don't understand that Michael Brown does not want to be remembered for a riot. He wants to be remembered as the one that made America deal with how we're going to police in the United States." He went further to criticized police who pointed rifles at peaceful protesters in Ferguson. "We have to leave here today and change this," he said.

"Michael Brown's blood is crying from the ground, crying for vengeance, crying for justice," he said. "There is a cry being made from the ground, not just for Michael Brown but for the Trayvon Martins, for those children at Sandy Hook Elementary School, for the Columbine massacre, for the black-on-black crime." Brown's great uncle, Rev. Charles Ewing added.
